Happy Mother’s Day! 🐣
Today I decided to feature something fitting of today’s celebration- pregnancy photo shoots.
Guys, I was completely taken by Ciara’s baby bump, she looked absolutely gorgeous and made pregnancy seem like such a breeze. Her outfits were on point and her heart melting cute family just made me swoon over and over again. I was gushing with every picture she posted and did you see the video she Instagramed, singing to Whitney Houston, dancing and jumping over couches? No? Check it out here.
This post was inspired by Ciara’s very simple and minimalist photo shoot which stayed true to her tom boy style and features her husband Russell Wilson and her son. With the level of happiness I have for Ciara and how her story turned out you’d swear she’s my own sister🙈 #TeamCiara😍
Pictures from Ciara’s first pregnancy:
Now celebrities will be celebrities so trust they will have their pregnancy photo shoots spread in magazines but I’ve seen that these types have become one of the most popular, after wedding shoots with us regular folk. Our cultures, traditions, beliefs, morals and maybe even superstitions about pregnancy vary across the world but people are capturing their pregnancies in the most creative ways and sharing them, on social media.
I think the silhouette of a pregnant body is absolutely gorgeous and natural. Personally if I were to do a pregnancy photo shoot I’d probably not share it with the world, rather frame the pictures and keep them in our bedroom.
Before we go too far let me just give credit where it is due: Demi Moore put us onto that baby bump shoot swag way back in 1991 (this cover is as old as I am🙈) for the cover of Vanity Fair. Yes she was the first celebrity to ever do such a bold shoot. It stands as one of the most (semi) controversial & memorable covers of all time.
Here are some famous mommies who creatively captured their preggy bellies in style:
Blac Chyna
Angela Simmons
Kelly Rowland
Draya Michelle
Beyonce

- Kim Kardashian
- Tamar Braxton-Herbert
- Keke Wyatt
Just looking at these beautiful women and their big bellies gives me goosebumps. It looks so exciting yet very scary at the same time but probably the most memorable times of early motherhood.
My personal favourites:
Do you find pregnancy shoots classy or tasteless? Do you plan on doing one or have you done one yourself? Would you share it with the world or keep it private? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
Thanks for visiting🙃
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there. You are loved and adored.🌹
